Pitches, loved, hated, needed, ... worthwhile?⁣⁣⁣⁣

With this question in mind, branding and packaging design agencies from the epda network in Germany shared their experiences at the After Work Talk in Hamburg; hosted by epda Member Flaechenbrand.⁣⁣

⁣⁣Do we accept pitches? If so, what conditions are acceptable? It is clear to everyone that unfair pitches create an imbalance. Behind all of this is the question of how our work is valued, but also the understanding of its added value for the brands.⁣⁣

Ultimately, our goal is to do a good job for the end consumer, in the sense of the much-discussed customer centricity. And this can only be achieved in a healthy client-agency relationship based on partnership. What this requires and how we can enable sustainable, appreciative work with our client’s perspective in mind will be the subject of further, subsequent considerations.
