1. Highlight of being a member of EPDA?
Describe a key experience or moment of truth you experienced as a member of the EPDA community:
“epda’s event in Nuremberg. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with other creative people, the mix of the inspiring keynote by Puma and the hands-on workshop at Leonhard KURZ left a lasting impression on me, challenging my thinking and broadening my perspective. Plus, the visit to one of Germany's oldest companies, the Faber Castell factory, gave me a deep insight into the importance of design in product creation. It was a BOOM of learning, sharing and inspiration - something every designer would love to experience!”
2. Design Inspiration?
Who is your biggest reference or inspiration in design?
“I draw most of my inspiration from art, particularly from artists like Sol LeWitt or Lygia Pape. But above all, Patti Smith is my greatest reference. Her books, music, photography, art, history, inspires me deeply”
3. Favorite Creative Tool or Design Gadget?
What is your „can’t live without it – thing” when it comes to design? Be it software, technical device, design trash ..
“I love working with Adobe InDesign. Its versatility and wide range of tools make it my go-to for almost every design project.”
4. Fun Fact?
Share a fun fact about yourself that most people don't know.
“Early in my freelance career, I landed a project with a British company. Due to my limited English at the time, all our communication was via email. One day, the client called unexpectedly to discuss design ideas, but I understood very little. Not wanting to disappoint, I enthusiastically agreed with everything he said. After piecing together mentions of colour and image sizes, I made a few adjustments and sent them over, expecting corrections. To my surprise, the client loved the new design - even more than his original suggestions! This experience taught me the value of trusting my instincts, however, also motivated me to improve my English.”
5. Hobby or Interest?
What is one of your favorite hobbies or interests outside of design?
"I love spending time in nature, reading books, I'm a music geek with eclectic tastes, I like to cook a lot, I have a great passion for stationery and I also love visiting museums, art, history and culture."
6. What is your favourite colour combination and why?
“As someone who is deeply passionate about colour, it's never easy for me to choose just one combination - I love so many. But today I'm drawn to the vibrant mix of red and pink that reflects my mood and energy.”
