Wolf Biermann
A Corporate Identity system for Wolf Biermann
The German poet and songwriter Wolf Biermann is known as a political rebel and harsh critic of the GDR. To this day, he has not lost any of his relevance and should be presented in a visible and contemporary way to both long-time Biermann connoisseurs and a new, younger group. Studio Ajot developed a modern visual identity for all graphic applications, covering print products like LP covers and poster campaigns, merchandise such as pens and shirts, and social media campaigns and animations.
Colibris
A fresh and modern identity for the eyewear manufacturer Colibris
To mark its 25th anniversary, Studio Ajot developed a modern corporate design for Colibris Eyewear that redefines the brand identity. Under the guiding principle “Great glasses for small faces”, the visual concept combines Nordic design with a contemporary aesthetic. A maritime blue and a warm sandy tone reflect the northern German landscape, while the iconic “C” and the filigree wave pattern emphasize the brand‘s origins and the diversity of the eyewear models. The revised logo lettering combines elegance with self-confidence and elegantly highlights the specialization in eyewear for petite faces.

CHART
Editorial Design & Art Direction for CHART
Visually, CHART straddles the line between book and magazine, focusing on music journalism with empathetic portraits of individuals in the cultural scene. For the fourth issue, “Light”, we developed a new design system that gives each character and story its own space. The layout is both distinctive and flexible, capturing the mood and essence of each text through layout and image arrangement. For example, fleeting snapshots, arranged in a collage, reflect the virtual chaos and overstimulation often seen at concerts, which frequently overshadow the artists themselves. Randomly placed Polaroids tell the story of Charlotte Brandis’ journey of being a woman in a band 30 years ago. This design system is meant to be adaptable for future issues, both thematically and emotionally
