Palace of Culture and Science
The building is one of the tallest and most recognizable buildings in Warsaw and can be seen from nearly every part of the city. It was inaugurated in 1955 at the behest of Joseph Stalin as a “gift from the Soviet people to the Poles.” Constructed by Russian workers, it was long regarded as a symbol of socialist power and a source of pride for People’s Poland, serving as the venue for conventions of the Polish United Workers’ Party. From the very beginning, its grand interiors have hosted a variety of concerts, exhibitions, fairs, and performances. Today, the palace houses theaters, a cinema, museums, trendy bars, and the main Warsaw Tourist Information office.
Mysia 3
The building is located in the very center of Warsaw, between the Three Crosses Square and the De Gaulle Roundabout. It's a small and niche department store housed in the former communist-era censorship headquarters. On three levels of a cozy tenement house in modern, industrial style are located author’s fashion shops, jewelery, art. Interior furnishing and photo gallery. Shops such as Rilke, Orska, Bynamesakke and Svoi offer products created by local designers. There are several international high quality brands as Swedish COS or Japanese Muji. On the second floor you can visit Leica shop and gallery which hosts photography exhibits. The top floor has been transformed into a modern, spacious event location.
Hotel INDIGO
INDIGO Hotel Hotel Indigo - Warsaw - Nowy Swiat is a 4-star boutique hotel located in a renovated 19th century building, in the centre of Warsaw, opposite the National Museum.
